Rhett Bomar kicked off team
This really opens things up for the South. In my mind, Texas and Oklahoma are now in a dead heat, if that. Oklahoma's defense will be good enough to carry through the year, but Paul Thompson just got a huge punch in the gut as he wakes up tomorrow as the quarterback for OU. I now see OU having a similar year to last years. Teams can now sell out to stop Adrian Peterson. Bomar had developed enough throughout last year for team's to have to respect his arm somewhat. Not anymore. Good luck Sooners, I guess it'll be a good ole fashioned UT-NU showdown in KC.

Just read the end of that ESPN story and saw that OU has a JUCO QB named Joey Halzle who will battle Thompson for the starting job. Either way, OU will have to go through another year with an inexperienced QB behind center.
good post TC. I agree with your take, too. Teams should be able to key on AP, except their line is going to be pretty good I think. UT v. NU II should be good.
Their line is going to be pretty good??
ONE returning starter, and 2 second stringers, roark and quinn are gone. Might want to rethink that thought.
