I agree that franchione is overpaid, but think that Ferentz is the most overpaid. What business does he have doing at #3. You have to make it to the fucking dance before you deserve top 10 money. (so tuberville is questionable, weis is ok because he was with the pats.)
OK, I agree Ferentz is overpaid, but at least the guy has done something. Even though they got killed, at least he took a team to a BCS game. The guy has something good going at Iowa, you have to give him that. What the hell has Franchione done to even be among the top 30 in salary?
I definitely have to agree with Sto on this one. At least Kirk has a winning record at Iowa. Coach Fran can't make that argument at A&M. They seem only to have gotten worse under him. You can argue that Ferentz doesn't deserve to be third, or even in the top ten, but considering Kirk made the BCS last year, I think the harder argument to make is that Fran is more deservant of top ten percent money.
Bottom line is that I would rather pay Kirk 2.7 to get blown out in a BCS game than pay Franchione 2.0 to run my team into the ground.
Ferentz has done an incredible job. He took over an ailing Hawkeye team and has made them national title contenders within 10 years. He deserves that money. The only people I see on the list that don't deserve that type of money are WEIS, Tuberville, and Franchione. I'm sorry but Weis doesn't deserve shit, in fact Willingham in his first year should have got paid more since he had a better record than Weis. For crying out loud he has 9 or 10 total head coaching victories and he is the highest paid coach in college? To me that's a joke, here's to Paying off willingham's contract and Weis's fat ass all in one lump sum. Notre Lame signing off.
