Harrison Beck Missing
Harrison Beck failed to show up for practice on Saturday.
Apparently he was pissed that they had listed him at #4 on the depth chart. His mother did not know his whereabouts but did have an upsetting conversation with him on Friday. He sent her a text message today saying that he was okay and not to worry about him.
This really sucks on every level. Beck is supposed to be the guy who takes over for Zac Taylor after this year without skipping a beat. Now we know that the future leader of our team is another crybaby (cough...crouch...cough) who can't hack it when a little adversity and challenge gets put in front of him. Does he not know that Joe Ganz is a pretty good QB who's been playing very well in practice for the last year? Does he not realize that being injured this spring put him behind the 8-ball somewhat leading into preseason camp? Does he not know that his career stats are 1-10 with an interception and that the #2 spot isn't just reserved for him, not to mention the starting job next year?
I say screw Beck. Start giving Ganz as many reps as Taylor and let's move on.

seriously, i dont like the sounds of this. i hope its just him being frustrated, which can actually turn into a good thing in some cases. i'd rather not see it under any circumstances, but the kid will just learn that he has to earn his place on the depth chart. he did not play most of the spring, and is behind the definite starter and a couple guys who have been working hard. he will finally have to work for something in his life...
