Welcome to HUSKER FOOTBALL 2006!

In just 3 days time, we will all be back in Lincoln, cracking a beer before the bedtime sand is gone from our eyes, wearing scarlet and cream, soaking in the gameday atmosphere which we've all come to know and love. As we make our way from the No Option tailgate, through the sea of red humanity we will hark back to the old glory days when real thoughts of Big 12 and National championships danced through our heads despite having Frank Solich as coach. Finally, we will reach our usual seats in South Stadium-section 14, just in time to hear the Pride of all Nebraska regale us with our favorite pregame tunes (such as Mr. Touchdown USA) and we will all chant the letters of Nebraska before singing along to Nebraska's own Hail Varsity. As the excitement reaches a boiling point, our bodies will experience a sensory overload as the strains of Alan Parson's "Sirius" ring over the ole' stadium and the 2006 Tunnel Walk light up our eyes thanks to the new HuskerVision mega-jumbotron. The opponent's helmet will destroyed in some creative fashion and the 2006 Cornhuskers will slowly make their way from the locker room. Just when the noise and excitement reaches alarming levels, the entire stadium will explode as the Huskers race onto Tom Osborne Field. The Huskers will crush another inferior opponent, the crowd will applaud as both teams leave the field and for at least one more week, everything in the world will be right again.

See ya there...

Wow chad. You are something else. I guess maybe you have always been this goofy, but I think its getting worse. Is there something in the water up there? Couple questions. What made you write something like this? Is it a joke? Have you gone crazy?
