Tough Loss

Well that has to be about as well as we've played in a big game in a number of years. That might be setting the bar a little low, but you have to start somewhere, and considering that we had that game won I think it signifies the current state of this program. We are more talented, more athletic and better coached than we have been since probably 1999. Incidentally, that was the most recent trip to the Big XII championship game, and with two wins in the next two games we should be able to return to the top of the North Division.

I don't think this team is down after a loss like that. And as bad as this sounds, I think this team will take it as a moral victory and really build off it. These players know what they have overcome and coming within a couple minutes of beating Texas is definitely something to be proud of. It was a loss, however, and I realize this. This team will want to play Texas again, and I don't think there will be any let up over these next couple games.
